SYMPHONY TOLLERS
A BIT OF BACKGROUND
How We Got Started
We were introduced to Tollers in 2015 when we adopted Hudson, a 2 year-old neutered male who had been returned to his breeder. He became a companion and 4H project dog. Through our experience with 4H, we were also exposed to the world of AKC junior showmanship and competition in obedience and rally. Miranda joined our household in 2017 as our first conformation competitor and breeding dog. Originally we did not plan to operate as a hobby kennel, we just wanted a wonderful pet for ourselves. However, after our positive experiences in dog sports we became hooked and soon were looking for even more ways to work with this wonderful breed.
One of the things about Toller breeders in general is the desire to preserve the dogs true to their original purpose. In far too many breeds these days there is the "working line" and the "show line." It is not at all uncommon for a Toller to be not only a ring champion, but also have hunting titles. In fact, a Toller cannot achieve the NSDTR club champion title unless they have passed a test that shows they can retrieve ducks.
Our goal at Symphony is to continue to produce sound dogs that are true to their breed standard, with beauty, drive, and temperaments so that they are ambassadors for the breed. Contact us to find out more.
GUIDING MISSION
Animal Welfare Come First
At Symphony Tollers, we continue to care about our animals long after they leave us. As such, it’s our strict policy to only sell to individuals; we will never sell to pet shops or brokers. To make sure our animals get the forever home they deserve, we carefully interview all potential owners. Contact us to find out more about the process or to get on our waiting list.
